hi All,

i've only purchased my A2 last month and still hasn't received my V5, had to remind the previous owner to bloody post docs to DVLA.
yet that didn't prevent me doing some preliminary work to the car, fixed the handbrake where cable disconnected from the handle
and put the missing alternator belt on. today i've discovered that aircon works properly, hey ho! ready for summer :)
still i have the engine management light on - and here's what i am asking - is there anyone with the diagnostics tool near me
in North Bristol i could plug the beast in and find out where it hurts?
cheers guys, looking forward to sharing all good and bad stuff about this wonderful machine with ya'all

Thank you Paul, now the light has disappeared, must have been the lack of charging due to missing auxiliary belt - sorted now.
only the Airbag control is on now, probably connections to clean,
troubleshooting power steering and windscreen washer pump :)
thank you again! Matt

Airbag light will not reset even if you fix the fault I am afraid but good news so far!!

You will either need someone with VCDS or similar diagnostic tool. Some airbag reset devices can be used but have no experience with these sadly.

While the airbag light is on the complete airbag system is shutdown not just the ones that the original issue was with.
