SpdyHS Member 27 Nov 2019 #1 I changed the oil filter, oil and fuel filter a couple of weeks ago. This afternoon the yellow engine light came on, with the P1174 "Fuel Trim Cylinder Balance Bank 1" code. Anyone who has experienced this before?

KekseKaempfer A2OC Donor 28 Nov 2019 #2 This is a fairly good explanation of fuelling and how it's controlled: Fuel Trim Info - Ross-Tech Wiki wiki.ross-tech.com Unfortunately it could be many things. I'd look for air leaks in the system to start with, that's always a good starting point.

SpdyHS Member 5 Dec 2019 #3 Is it possible that I fitted the new fuel filter poorly, and therefor I get the fault code?
SpdyHS Member 12 Dec 2019 #4 It's fixed! I replaced all of the spark plugs and the yellow light is no more. So for future reference, P1174 might be caused by old spark plugs.
