Are runflats an option for an A2?

Hi. I've just bought an used A2 and I'm a bit miffed by how much space the "space-saver" wheel occupies. (still haven't received it, pics to follow!)

So, will an A2 work properly with a set of runonflats and a tyre pressure monitor system (like the combos Pirelli is selling, K-Pressure+Euphori@ or PZeroNero)?

Thanks.

I can't see any real reason why not, other than the fact that the Pirelli Euphoris are not available in a size to fit the A2 (no 205 or 215/40 tyres or 185/195/50s).

Other manufacturers sometimes require a specially profiled rim for the tyres to work, so really, you might as well use a bottle of gunk and a compressor if youdon't like the spare - that's what I do.

Cheers,

Mike

Nor me. My bro has a Cooper S and I think they have a tyre fitted along those lines. Certainly doesn't handle like a drunk cow on roller skates, although he wouldn't let me go too fast in it. ;)
