ATL / TDi90 coolant hose identification?

Hello. Can anyone identify the coolant hose arrowed in the image below please? (found a pic on the forum and pasted, hope that's OK - forgot to photo mine in the whole hot/oily episode...) Car temp warning on the DIS came up today, turns out most of the coolant has emptied through a hole that's formed in that hose! Hose looks a bit melty, maybe from oil/diesel dripping on it from the ASV housing above it? Anyways, if anyone could advise a part number for it please that'd be great? Hope this isn't the start of more fun fixing it...! Thanks.

I've a very slight leak from tandem pump thats in the process of melting that pipe, its hard to see but its definitely diesel from the tandem pump thats doing it on mine!

Hi Tipptop,
That is the cause of it
Fix it asap as it will do the same to all the others it gets on .
Wash area off with engine degreaser & cover with something.
Hope that helps
Keith

Wish I'd looked sooner as the hose seems tricky to find a replacement for remarkably... Thanks all though.

And so to the inevitable question on this one sadly: I see other posts about the hose I need to replace between the ATL's EGR cooler and the tandem pump, 8Z2121058. I'm not sure that anyone was able to source one though - I haven't had any luck. Does anyone know of a source, or a workaround?

Thanks. I had looked on there: but that's not the right hose sadly, and I don't think they have the PN I need. So is that the car written off for lack of a hose then?!

Hi again fbson, I posted above to say my pipe was on the same road as yours and to check your tandem pump for leaks as that's what is melting my pipe. If I was you I'd take out the pipe and head down the local scrappy with a vernier calipers and get something that's a decent match from another car. I bet you'll find something suitable in no time. I'm not too worried about my own pipe as I'll be removing the egr cooler and will have to do a custom pipe job anyway. Good luck.

Hello Tipptop. Thanks for your help with it, appreciated. I'm thinking tandem pump will likely be the culprit and need replacing. Just bothersome the hose isn't off a shelf somewhere. Sure they'll be a way around it. Hope to look at the weekend more thoroughly, hoping there aren't too many other hoses in trouble nearby...!

Bit of a challenge the 8z0121058 hose replacement then. Removed seemingly lots to get it off, including replacing tandem (in progress), and had to fashion a new set of pipes. Hope it does the trick:

Couple of silicone bends and a copper section between. Fits OK, as I say, hope it holds....

Great effort hope it works well please do update and photo the fitment in situ. What goes inside it, water or oil?

Ha, thanks. I will take a pic tomorrow. Would have done today but got carried away cleaning the EGR and was too covered in oil to take a photo!
It's a coolant hose, from the EGR cooler to the coolant temperature sensor manifold.

I have the same problem. I've recently posted about replacing my leaky tandem pump, however the hose underneath is also contaminated and mushy. I've managed to source a replacement from audi tradition at an exorbitant price. Probably no use to you because I don't think they will supply to the uk

We have our ways…….

When my replacement hose arrives in a couple of weeks I will measure it up carefully and post the results on here. I suspect that if you can find any hose with a bend in it and the correct internal diameter it can be cut to fit
