audi a2 user manual

hello
i just bought an audi a2 from germany and all the books ( user manuals, car cd manuals etc) are in german!

and i don`t understand german at all..

does anyone have in electronic format the user manual? i need to know what the right buttons from the climate control are standing for :) if so please send it to [email protected]

also it says that my audi a2 has heated mirrors .. ? is there any button that i must press? or they are heating by themselves?

I don't think you will have any luck with an 'electronic' manual but you could check the price of the English hard copy version from a dealer. The part number taken from the back of my Dec 2000 manual is 213.561.8Z0.20.

The heated mirrors come on with the heated rear screen and are also supposed to work automatically in cold weather (Though I'm not convinced this actually happens)

My A2 had heated mirrors. I beleive they turn on automatically when the temperature falls below 5C. On some very cold mornings I could even see the mirrors steaming.
 
you misunderstood me.. i don`t need an 'electronic' manual.. i need a user manual in english.. like a book where it says what's the function of every button.

in particular i need to know what 2 buttons on the climate console stand for.. on the climate control console you have 2 buttons in the far right (the last ones).. you have an arrow pointing up, then an image of a rectangle with horizontal lines and a filled square in center... and then an arrow pointing down.
what do you tune with those arrows (up and down?)

Hi,

the buttons you ask about are to manually control the air flow - rather than letting the Auto function decide. The 'up' arrow sends air to the windscreen, the rectangle with horizontal lines is to send air to the face level vents and the 'down' arrow sends air to the footwells/floor.

If you select 'Auto' the climate control decides where the air goes - I mostly leave it in this setting.

That central rectangular "air-vent" button is the only button I ever get asked about in my car! It is not an internationally recognised symbol now is it! But once you realise it depicts an air-vent it makes sense...
 
Hi, the part number I gave was for the owners handbook which comes with the car. What I meant to convey was that I have never seen a pdf or similar format version which could be transmitted by e.mail.

I have a Quickstart Guide to the A2 in pdf format I can email, but it doesn't cover the heater controls, covers pretty much everything else though.
Let me know if this is any to you.
