Audi A2 will not start

my A2 Audi diesel TDI starts runs for about 10 seconds cuts out the ABS warning light is on and the battery warning light is on the central locking works and the radio works but nothing else. Anybody got any ideas to what it could be yours hopefully

If you repeat, does it start, albeit for ten seconds, or will it not turn over?

If I repeat it starts for a few seconds and cuts out try it a couple of time

Your immobiliser is cutting in by the sound of it. Try a fresh battery in your fob and re-pair it.

I'd put the car's battery on a decent 5 - 10 amp charger for 24 hours too

If it is not any of that, what else could it be. Why do only the ABS warning light and battery warning light comes on when I turn the ignition on no other light come on car fire up and then dies ?

For me, probably because the battery voltage drops as soon as any current is drawn. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition on. Less than 12.0 volts, is bad news.
