After turning it on i see this

So removed the fuse and putted it back and saw this

47648

Holding TP/RDS and entered code BUT after entering code holding buttons again and nothing happens... After turning concert off and on saw the first picture again.

Where can be the problem?

Wrong code perhaps. Are you sure you use TP/RDS to enter the code? i thought you press the number 1 button the same number of times as the first digit of the code then repeat with button 2 for second digit, button 3 for third and button4 for the last digit..

I use tp/rds and see 1000 then ebtering the code as you describe. After entering code holding tp/rds again and nothing happens. Code is right because i did it when changed the battery last winter. Today i did nothing with the battery and have this problem.

Well if it worked when you changed the battery, disconnect the battery and try the code after the battery disconnected for say a couple of hours. You did refit the fuse correctly and not disturbed any other fuses? Could also be the radio is on its way out.

I removed the fuse because saw first picture after turning radio on this morning. Fuse refited correctly and no other fuses was touched.

Please check, easy to dislodge fuses and not notice. Then disconnect battery and reconnect and enter code. If still not working do think unit faulty.

Disconnect for a longer period, say disconnect it now and reconnect it tomorrow. If no good then I would go for a replacement unit.

If you're fitting a replacement 2nd-hand radio, Sarge sent me a good link to a Russian Ebay VAG code provider that worked first time for a Chorus I bought off him - I think it was about 7 quid, and took a couple of hours max before I'd been Ebay messaged the new code, on a Sunday. Correction - about 7 dollars in my case, going back into my Ebay purchases, the same guy now has a link for less than a fiver (quid).

Quick question guys:
The radio code is "linked" to the car or to the radio?
Meaning, If I buy a replacement Concert radio from Ebay, can I use my previous radio code or do I need to make sure that the new radio comes with the code?
If the code is lost, is there any way to overcome this?
Thanks

The code is attached to the radio only. Although if you remove your own radio and then put it back in the car recognises it and doesn’t need a code.

The code can be obtained from eBay etc using the serial number on top for about £4

Believe all first generation radios ALWAYS need the code . The late CANBUS ones are paired with the car, when refitted to original car no code is needed but if fitted to another car then code IS needed.
