Hi Alistair yes pay on the gate and join us on the pitch--you will need a car club flag to put on your mirror to show your on a stand-we usually meet up in a car park and i hand out the flags then, but if your unable to make it one of us can pass it to you on the gate. But the convoy is great fun and to be part of a 20 long line of A2's is special.

The show is the Saturday - Friday night we book a table in the beefeater next to the hotel for those that have decided to stay over before the show or are local and want to join us---please add your name here---http://www.a2oc.net/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=99&day=2016-10-14 also post on here how many places please.


The show follows the very simple typical car show format. With the different car clubs having pitches. These pitches are located close to the track at castle Combe in the paddock area. There are a few trade stands there to tempt the pound out your pockets. BUT THE BIG DRAW IS being Able to view the action on the track. Audi uk usually have one or two of their test pilots offering white knuckle rides around the circuit in the high performance versions of the cars. Some of the fastest modified audis also go out and are a sight to be seen and heard.
Track time is offered at £TBC per session - you need to have a helmet. If any members are interested pm me and I'll see if we can get a group session (12 a2's needed)
In the afternoon they usually offer a kids session where you can take the kids (yours or borrowed) around the circuit. At the end if the day there is usually a parade lap (in fact usually 3) where all the clubs form a line and drive the track -at a steady pace. No helmet required.

This year there will not be a £2 pitch pass cost- previous years this nominal charge paid for the subscription that one lucky person won in a draw on the day. There WILL still be a subscription to one lucky person drawn on the day. So please add your name to the calendar link.

As per previous years we stay the night of the show at a hotel this year a few of us are staying at the premier inn hotel on the great western way opposite the Hilton of previous years.

Hi all I hope people have got their hotels booked and their names down for the meal(s). I will be sending all those that are coming to the Saturday night meal (after the show) a link to the menu , if I can ask you to let me have your choices ASAP I can forward on the pre orders to the pub. I seem unable to register our appearance as I'm a Tech Biff, but we intend to arrive around 9ish. The A2 is having an engine transplant at the moment, awaiting some new coolant hoses from Germany, but should be on the road by then.

Coming down on Friday and staying at Premier Inn - won't make the Friday meal but will definitely be down in time for a couple of alcoholic beverages before bed. Sadly, have got to head home after Saturday show so can't do the Saturday evening meal this time. It's a brilliant restaurant so make sure you get your names down.

Hi all. Can't do any of the evening stuff alas, but I'll be there in the morning with number 2 soon in tow. Think he's more excited about the track than I am.
Looking forward to saying some long over due hellos and hopefully staying long enough to involved in a parade lap (I'll have to clean my baby). But have v to go in the afternoon as parental duties call.

Those driving to castle combe I hope you have a good trip and I will meet you at the car park in DUNNS LANE --SN14 7HU at 8.35. For those that are at the Hilton or Premier inn we will leave at 8.00 to join the others at the car park so I can hand out the passes. As regulars will know i have a lousy reputation for getting us to the circuit and the meeting point without going on a mucky mystery tour--so I'm hoping that Chris will help out and take the lead from the hotel as per last year.

WE NEED TO BE ON TIME AS WE WILL BE LEAVING THERE AT 8.55AM (If you cant get there for that time please pm me for my number and i can meet you at the gate to issue you with your pass.)
I will be cooking hot dogs along with the usual hot drink offerings.

I wont be able to get there till later, can i park on the stand?

Will anyone be there that can try to program a key for me? is there anything i need to bring to be able to do it?
