Audi In-Car Entertainment Systems Guide

Following my recent quest to find what my original equipment system was, I have come across this.
For me it supports the fact that I need a Audi Concert 1 head unit to natch an in boot 6cd changer.

Backs up what I said on the other thread. Lots of good information but remember the A2 never went beyond Gen 2 audio. They did side track into RNS-D for the sat nav etc.

The correct head unit is proving illusive at present.

Ideally one of our breakers would eventually get a high spec early car pre 2002 that has both fitted and be able to remove them and sell to you. But you may have to cast your net much further to find these items now. Even if you could get the changer working you are greatly reducing the search.

It may even be worth checking Audi Tradition to see if they occasionally have them, then talk to Rick @Rickmeister to buy it for you and forward it on from Germany.

The boot-mounted 6CD was also available for the Gen II headunits. Even the Symphony double-DIN 6CD (Gen I or Gen II) supports it.

Not 100% sure if the 6 cd changers are the same model between the gen 1 and gen 2 head units
