Audi Tradition Orders.. Uk contact to split box and post onwards or hold parts for collection.

Morning,

So. Audi Tradition.... with an eye for future orders. No part requests please on this one. I'm hoping to find another member that would be willing to do the UK part of the process, split the box into smaller packets and post onwards. This will probably work best for all those small and hard to find niggly trim pieces, hoses, clips that are low cost but the postage kills. Plus the problem of ordering from the UK and the AT site not taking cards.

So from here in Germany, I can order and pay for AT pieces, they arrive very quickly and are well packed. Uk members can pay into my PP or UK bank, so far, so good. I buy your parts, you reimburse me, I check them here in Germany, I post the bundle across to the UK. Its the next bit that matters.

Parts arrive with me bundled together, some are boxed in a larger box and will simply need a stamp, addressing and posting from the UK. Some trim pieces arrive in a plastic sleeve with the picking note and will need a box buying, addressing then posting. Alternatively the UK member holds these and people collect from them.

Would someone be willing to be the UK end of this? It would mean splitting a box of bits, possibly packing them and posting to members who refund the postage at the UK end? Alternatively, being the UK collection point for people who want to pop around. On a previous thread a few people kindly said they would help. It's a bit of a thankless task but does open up spares that are impossible or hard to find.

I feel a massive sense of responsibility here. Last order I placed, all up was almost £200... people are giving me money in good faith, I want them to absolutely get what they order. It will need a degree of goodwill and trust to make it happen but there are benefits for everyone.

If you're up for this, send me a pm and we can go from there with an eye to placing an order before too long.

Hello Rick

I would like to help you and my fellow club members. Unfortunately, I am very often away for work, i.e. in Munich for the weekends 11-13th and 18-19th of May.
If no one comes forward, I'll take the task but members will have to be patient. I have also another solution of having everything delivered at my work place. We are sending parcels all over the world every day, so won't be a problem.
Also, I was thinking about getting something from Audi Tradition.

Please let me know.

Hi Rick,

Wondering if I might be able to help on this one also.

While I live at my partner's house, I commute to work from my own house, so I'm here by day most weekdays to receive deliveries. I have a load of packaging at the moment and space to store stuff securely while in process of posting, or for people to collect (I can bring items to my partner's house for collection most evenings and weekends). In terms of being able to receive an order soon, I'll be away on the Scotland social from 24th May - 1st June, but other than that nothing is planned.

The only thing is, I am expected to work while I'm here :D so turnaround from box being received to individual orders being sent out might not be super speedy. Worth a try do you think?

- Ian.

Herve, Ian, thanks for the offers. It's looking good that we will be able to do something. Patience is indeed the way to go here and needed if we combine orders into one parcel.

Captain, I soooooo nearly offered to bring you a towbar It was you wasn't it...), if AT had them. I looked but couldn't see any part numbers.... I was along the coast in Brighton...

So I'm thinking to get the parcel thing into the UK sorted and post for members to order with me, then actually order end of May. Gives loads of time for people to search part numbers etc week three of May, AT delivers to me week 4 of May, parcel in UK week 1 of June.
