But they are out of stock frequently because of their popularity.
I have contacted them and will post on here when they are available again.
I only buy them from this one seller (California_dog)

I have been buying them from this seller for many years (even before the Bluetooth version came out) and they are genuinely honest guys there.

It is easy to get them mixed up.
It must state that it fits the Golf Mark 4.

Thanks for trying though.

If it mentions that it fits the mark FOUR Golf then it should fit. But if it doesn’t mention that then I wouldn’t risk it.

Yes but do they ship to the Uk and they are quoting up to 39 days to ship within their own country.
I suspect that they are just buying from China as they get an order. and selling it on, but it is always good to see other options for getting this great piece of kit.
Thanks Ed

It sounds like you ordered yours from California_dog too. They seem to do a very quick delivery, mine was about the same as yours.

But ordering one from a seller in the USA (Above) might take a lot longer. But hopefully not, we will see.

I am the impatient type and anything over two weeks is too long for me.

I also bought non Bluetooth and Bluetooth from this eBay seller and used a VW T4 chrome ring to finish off.

Still prefer this new switch fascia and a chrome ring.

One thing to note with all these Auto light switches is that if you leave them on Auto there is a small current drain. To prevent the battery going flat with non use just make sure you turn the switch to OFF as it then draws no current.
Hi

You may find that these are ok and shouldn’t drain your battery. The Bluetooth is not on constantly (it is only used when you change settings and the Bluetooth switches off the pairing after around 3 seconds.)

So the switch set to auto is not running anything. There is only power to it with the ignition on, or the few seconds when you lock/unlock the car in the dark (for the coming/leaving home function)
The light sensor is only active with the ignition on or when locking:unlocking too

An auto switch that you have to turn on and off each time wouldn’t be much use.
However, if you are laying up the car for a few weeks/months then switching off the auto would not harm (belt and braces).

But thanks for the comment, much appreciated. ??

Morning all,

The 2-3 years I’ve had the Bluetooth unit I have always left it in the Auto position and never had and power drain issues. The car has always been in regular use but can sit there for a few weeks if when I’m not at work (it is just my commuter).

Kind regards,

Tom
