My CFA Light app has started to play up and will not load even after reinstalling following an update to IOS 14.5.1
However there’s another app called ElecGear (auto switch) by the same dev which on the face of it seems to be the same app and works so might be worth a try if you are having problems!

By the way, if anyone is having problems with the CFA app remember that you only need it to work when setting up the switch or if you want to make any changes.
if you do want to make any changes to the settings then as Cenick says, try the other app!

I’ve been in touch with the App Developers and the eBay seller who state that neither of their Apps work for iOS users running iOS firmware 14.0 and beyond. They have been looking to develop a new App for a while now so should be close to release.
With most iOS users now on 14.4.2 I guess that there isn’t many of us who can use the App now. Fingers crossed the updated App is available soon.

Cancel that! I just tried the new app again (this time at the car) and that is now acting the same as the old one.
but I don’t really need to make any changes so that is not a problem.

My problem is I have just Installed a new switch, I configured yesterday with an old iPhone 6 Plus on IOS 12.5

Hi all,
I want to report that I've been having fitment issues with this switch, bought from the recommended seller California.dog on eBay in this thread so I know it's the "correct" one (for a mk4 Golf):
The issue is that the switch sits slightly too far back in the fascia when it's clicked into place, see the picture below - I can make it sit in the right place in the fascia, but then the switch is not being held by anything and it's easy to then pull the whole switch and fascia out of the dash by accident!
Has anyone got any experience of this / any ideas? I already sold Audrey's immaculate hard touch headlamp switch so there's no going back - and actually, fitment aside I'm very pleased with it.
Any help appreciated!

Yes that is how the replacement switch is. You have a couple of options. Well three actually.
Live with the switch more recessed. The location of the locking in the dash side is made for the standard switch that uses the original fascia thus moves the switch further into the dash.
Wrap a turn or two of plastic tape around the circumference of the switch to make it a tight fit into the hole in the dash.
Fit a chrome ring like I did, This locks the front of the switch into the fascia.
Or belt and braces a chrome ring and tape around the circumference of the switch.
The outer diameter of the new switch is slightly larger that the inner diameter of the chrome ring but it will fit. Easier to fit the ring to the switch then push the switch and ring into the cut out fascia panel.
