Avus alloys on A2

Hello peeps, I am unclear on 5x100 & 5x112.
Basically will 17" Audi Avus s3 alloys go straight onto my Audi A2 se .
Straight swop/plug and play ??

I have them on mine, straight swap but I think you have to watch what tyre sizes you use so they do t rub. I think from memory I have 205/40/17 and I have no issues. They're 5x100 by the way

I think they'll rub as that's a higher side wall and quite wide but someone more qualified should be along soon.

The important bit is 5 x 100 PCD otherwise the wheel won't fit, but as Muska has highlighted, also check the tyre size as 235/45 are quite large.

I run 205/45R17(factory 9 spokes) on one of ours, only very slight rubbing on rears when fully loaded and towing(sport suspension).

8J simply means the rim is eight inches wide.

this. I find them too heavy, too, but that's another story. The ET should be around 32, then they're fine. 8J is borderline for 205s, though...

The 8 means wheel is 8" wide. The j is the wheel collar profile.

They did. They made a 7x16 version for the A3. Special edition had a set at one point

The Avus wheels will fit fine with 205/40/17 tyres and shouldn't have any issues with rubbing at all as long as you don't regularly car 2 sumo's in the back.

The only issue you may find is that when fitting bank new brake pads the edge if them may rub against the larger centre hub of the Avus wheels. Easily sorted by shaving a few mm off the edge of the pad and it's only with some brands.

My previous project was on 18x8.5 inch et35 3sdm wheels and they hardly ever rubbed even with 25mm lowering springs.
