B30 in A2

Hello

My good lady decided to give Morrisons biodiesel "a try" on Friday . There was about a 1/4 tank of regular diesel and was given about 20 liters of B30. Suffice to say the car ran like a pig all weekend, constantly going into limp mode but 300 miles later and a fill up on regular diesel everything seems fine again. Is there anything I need to do having ran on this?

It might be an idea to change the fuel filter, as it can be caked in lard (literally!).

I'll change that as it is ready for a new one anyway. Is there any other problems likely to occur off the back of this incident?!

Hi Scott

Morrisons Bio Diesel comes with a disclaimer saying that if you use it, it may invalidate your warranty and lots of car companies including Audi don't recommend you use it.
Besides, its made out of stuff the empty out of their fryers in the in-store restaurant!!
Now if you ever had the mis-fortune to eat there you would know why your A2 ran like a pig... I had sausage, egg and chips there once.... couldn't have a dump for about 3 days!!LOL:D:D:D

Si:)

Sounds a bit odd to me - our 51 plate A2 has been running on B30 from Morrsions for about the last 30000 miles and it runs sweet as a nut.

Mind you some biodiesel you can buy is utter Crap and will damage your car. So be carefull.

Ha ha

Fair point, you guys. I don't think i'll be using the B30 again in a hurry as my 1.4tdi really really didn't like it.

I have had some trouble with my car going into limp mode every few weeks which i'm currently looking to with my mechanic. We have secured a loose hose near the air filter but suspect another one somewhere or the intercooler?!

Anyway after putting the B30 in, it was limping every couple of miles (no joke) and as soon as I re-filled it was back to how it was before.
