Ball Joint locking bolt size?

Quick and easy question for you all.

What size is the locking bolt on an A2 TDI front ball joint? I need to replace a bolt (MOT failure) and I don't need a full ball joint. Any idea what size the bolt is please?

Hi Keith,
If you’re talking about the wishbone joint if I recollect correctly it’s an 18mm ring spanner or socket on the cast arm wishbones, I can’t comment on the presses steel arm bolt size as I’ve not got them fitted to mine.
