Update:

Dad has septicemia with complications, one of which is his allergy to antibiotics which is making treatment difficult.
Another is an arrhythmia, which isn't helping.
He is currently being kept under sedation.
We've been told to expect slow progress for the first couple of weeks, but the doctors remain optimistic.
I'll keep everyone updated.
Oh that’s not good ?. Poor old ian ...yes please keep us updated and pass on all our sentiments ..take care ...

Best wishes to your dad for a controlled recovery.

I messaged Ian a few days and got a reply from his son John
Ian is still in hospital and is not really making much if any progress
I’m sure all of the A2 community will join me in wishing Ian a full recovery
Sorry I’m not the bearer of better news

Best wishes to Ian and family

Paul

Paul, thank you very much for this update. Although far from the news we are all hoping for. We all care how Ian is fairing but I hope all will give the family time and distance to concentrate on their priority - getting Ian better.

Regards and well wishes for all.

Graham.

I totally agree Graham, I’ve had the update from John for a few days now and simply didn’t have the words….
I asked John if it was ok to post a very brief update on Ian’s progress and got his permission to do so
The last thing Ian’s family need at this time is lots of people contacting them as they have far more urgent priorities, hence the request to post a brief update on Ian’s condition.

Cheers Paul
