See image for one of the first order footrests. This is fitted with Infills in red, the red bars across it. This does not have the A2 logo per the latest style.

Was discussing with Paul earlier and he can only produce Black or Grey Infills

Evening Peter,

Always looking out for you A2 on the local roads but never seem to pass you Sir. I’ll add you to the list. If you’re struggling to get the infills printed on red then I could ask my nephew if he has any filament in that colour left from a previous project. I certainly couldn’t supply different colours for the masses but as a one-off I should. Leave it with me.

I’ll get you added to the list in the morning. Still no response from Cut-Tec but they’ll come back to me soon enough. My fingers are crossed for no astronomical price increase, it didn’t from group order 1 to 3 so not expecting a dramatic price change I’ll get an updated price from Paul @depronman too along with postage and packaging costs to everything is visible for all to understand.

Morning all,

I’ve now received the quote from Cutting Technologies for the latest group order:

As you can see the quantity that takes us to the minimum order value of £1550 only provides 10x footrests delivered to me in Leicestershire. I’ll go back to the company right now to understand the costs if we order more than 10. I’m hoping it’s still around £7.

Whilst I’m waiting for the response I’ll also get the postage and packaging costs on here so everything is transparent as like all the previous group orders I’ve pulled together over the years, this is a non-profit venture and I’ll be paying the same as everyone else for my footrest.

Give me a few hours and I’ll come back to you with the revised quote along with the additional costs (infills, postage and packaging). I’ll also update the list as there are a few members not added yet.

Yes £150. I’ve already received the quote for a greater quantity and it’s much more like what I was expecting, which I’ll upload shortly. Around £7 per footrest though.

The TT pedal covers can be found in various VAG vehicles of similar era. Once you've removed your existing hard plastic pedal covers you’ll see and understand exactly how the fancy cover are fitted. When removing the clutch pedal cover be very careful and the pedal arm is plastic too and can get damaged. The brake and accelerator pedals are metal from memory. A gentle heat with a hair dryer can assist. Do not use a heat gun, even on a low setting as you could cook your mats and other items in the vicinity.

Morning all,

Yesterday see me receive a second quote from Cutting Technologies which was much more palatable but the to get the cheaper price we need to increase the order from the guessed 27 to 30. Quote below:

The above quote is minus the 20% VAT charge as per the text at the bottom. If we were to continue to strive for 30 footrests at £6.91 each then the total will be £8.30 with VAT included.

I’ve also been in touch with Paul @depronman who confirms that the price for a set of 12 3D printed infills will be £6.50 plus bulk delivery to me at £4.00. This bulk postage fee will be split across the amount of infill set being delivered to me but we’re talking pennies here so almost negligible and won’t know the exact price in pennies until I know how many members want these infills.

So here’s the pricing as it stands if we were to go for 30 footrests:

£8.30 Laser cut footrest
£6.50 3D printed Infills
£0.90 Packaging (A4 Jiffy bag)
£3.90 Postage (up to 4 footrests)
£2.00 2x 30cm lengths of 3M VHB tape
£0.50 3D printed A2 insert

£22.10 all in delivered

In total to get one of these (picture below) delivered with Paul’s printed infills and my printed A2 infill will be £22.10. That’s quite an increase from the £8.30 but that does see it ready to fit into your footwell to admire and forget about it. All of the above pricing options can be excluded and I’ll show this on an updated list later on. Here’s a reminder of the how the complete footrest will look upon delivery for the fully selected pricing options above:

Me again,

Note that if the interest goes beyond 30 then we will of course head for the grand total of 50 footrests which will be even cheaper. This is entirely based on member interest so the more members who would like one subsequently makes it cheaper for everyone else. Let’s see how it goes but for now I’m happy the pricing for 30 footrests isn’t so bad but 50 would be better.

Here's the list of members who have registered interest so far, you can see we're uptown 13 footrests so far which is almost half way to the minimum order quality of 30 items to achieve the discounted rate:

As I didn't have all the additional costs to hand when I quickly put the list together the other evening, therefore made some assumptions that members who wished to be added to the list wanted to take advantage of the full package which is open to them. I have since made enquiries to understands these additional costs (postage, packaging, tape, infills etc) and have been added to post 37 but below for clarity:

So here’s the pricing as it stands if we were to go for 30 footrests:
