I can see from viewing your user profile that you're in Italy which suggests your A2s are LHD. These footrests only fit the RHD variant unfortunately. I guess this will cancel your interest unless you have 2 RHD A2s there with you. A LHD variant could well make it into production in 2025 if there was enough interest. It might be cheaper to have a European base LASER cutting company do it as it'll be cheaper to ship around to the LHD community than originating it from the UK where customs get involved.

Although the bespoke footrest venture within this thread are specific to the RHD A2, all is not lost just yet for a LHD A2 variant. The below thread might gain some traction in the new year where I might be able to supply these to you and our European friends:

Thread 'Potential LHD Bespoke A2 Footrest Group Order'

Morning all,

Hopefully seen the latest group order for the RHD bespoke A2 footrests and that there could well be a requirement to create these in LHD format too. So far there is interest in 6+ footrests for the LHD A2 and know these will be slightly wider than what I currently supply, as such will no doubt be more expensive. The only way to get an exact price is to hand over the CAD file to Cutting Technologies for them to provide an invoice to understand how many they can LASER cut from a sheet of marine grade stainless steel (brushed finish). I have different options to get the CAD file...

I see this RHD thread coming to fruition in the coming weeks where I can then refocus on the above linked thread. Still thinking it’ll be more cost effective to be taken on by someone in Europe to keep costs down but I’m certainly open to helping out.

Hello All,

Cutting Technologies have received my email regarding obtaining an up to date quote. Once this is delivered I’ll share it for all to see and can then divide up the costs as previously explained; whereby the Clubs Shop receives the spare/unspoken for footrests.

I’ll be back on this thread in the coming days and will then be in touch via DM with all involved to collect the funds to finally submit this order.

Sorry it’s taken so long to get to this stage, it was never going to be a quick group order as this is the fourth one of its kind with some 200+ footrests already out there with the good membership.

Morning all,

I’ve had the updated quote back for a week now but didn’t see if as it somehow landed in the junk email box. I’ll upload it here in the next couple of hours. There is a minimal price increase but I wouldn’t suggest it’s anything to worry about. All will be explained in the next post. Looks like I’ll be switching to DMs to collect payment and postage details in the next couple of days. Please do place any of your personal details on this thread, save it for the DM/PM I will send you.

Edit: Here’s the fresh quote, you’ll see the price has risen to £7.09 (without VAT)

Looking at the quote Tom ,if we went for the 50 and assuming we have 25 orders that would be an extra £1.42 each and that would give 25 spares for the club to sell on?
Just a thought?

Hello Grahame,

Yes I’ve noticed that it’s not much more of a stretch to obtain a lot more that the required 30. I’ll sort the figures out and have a chat with Fiona @FinallyFiona in the background to see if there is appetite for the Club to take advantage of this and subsequently stick them on the shop. If the club was going to profit from this then I don’t think we necessarily need to fund the additional £1.42 ourselves and maybe not everyone might wish to do so; great idea though Sir.

Fiona ahead of me messing about with the numbers, is there any initial thoughts of assisting to fund 50 items opposed to the spoken for 25-30 and taking all spares into the shop followed by any proceeds being utilised for forums running costs. Hope that all makes sense.

Evening all,

I've finally got the time to sit down and respond to this thread, which seems ti have gone on forever. With some recent additions though we have finally made it to 30 footrests. As per the earlier quote (which was minus VAT) the new figures are shown in the below list:

In short though, each footrest has increased in price to £8.52 which includes 20% VAT the the quote attracts. £9.92

Another development/consideration is that there might be interest in paying that little bit more per footrest (£1.40) to take advantage of an additional 20 footrests (as per the quote) that will be donated to the Clubs shop for Fiona @FinallyFiona to manage. having spoken to Fiona in the background, its not in the Shops interest to pay towards these as they would generally make a loss if selling at the group order cost price due to PayPal fees etc. What I propose is that we all chip in the additional £1.40 which has been suggested by a few members during there course of this thread and donate them to the Shop. We would have essentially paid for 20 footrests which we wasn't wanting but in doing so we will have contributed to the running costs of this great Forum, which has mainly survived the test of time from the generosity of the good membership.

I'll put all this information within the DM/PM I will send you individually, so there is no necessity to publicly say that you do or don't want to pay extra. If we do get close though with only a few members not wishing to donate then I'll probably just pay it myself as the Club has been utterly awesome for me and my fleet over the years. The information Ive discovered on here has saved me a a considerable amount of time and money rectifying faults along with upgrades too.

DM/PMs will start later this evening or tomorrow evening as I'd like to gather all funds to finally submit the order by the middle of next week.

With reference to Toms post above
Just a quick suggestion to anyone who has ordered a footrest. When Tom DM/PMs you it would be nice if anyone who is happy to make up any fiscal shortage in the purchase of the additional 20 footrests for the club could inform Tom of this. Once Tom has contacted and received a reply from everyone he can then recalculate the cost after he knows who can't afford the additional cost and pass that on to the people who can. It is ridiculous to think of the person who has put so much time and effort in could possibly end up having to spend their own money to subsidise the purchase.
