Best interior cleaner ?...

How do you use it spray on and what wet cloth dry cloth ?? Brush... i tried the vanish but it did very little I even tried it twice ..

Using the Ambersil i just spray it on and watch it foam up and let it settle a while, i think there is a time indicted on the can, and then wipe with a clean dry white cloth. I went over it 3 times until i was happy. The use of a toothbrush and a soft bristle nail brush helps too.

Thankyou for that that light beige interior I bet is a devil to keep clean ..no wonder sally likes the new silver a2 with the black interior she hasn’t got to be that fussy ..

Spray on, wait 20secs for the foam to do its thing, damp cloth. Repeat as required, allow to dry, vacuum when done.

Sorry to hear the Vanish didn't do much, I had good results with it in a solution 50:50 with water on grimy plastics taken out of the car. I wouldn't do fabrics that way unless I had somewhere with a constant warm breeze for them to dry, might take days because they would get so wet.

That’s not a problem I tried it 50/50 on the plastics even used a little fine scotchbrite but I found a little bilge cleaner got it off ...it was an oily stuff not sure what ..but the light dirt around the car inc parcel shelf it did a good job ..it was probably my impatience ? Sally’s pleased she got it in the laundry back house ..? I’m going to try the ambersil on the lightly soiled fabric ..

Another vote for Groom for seats, carpets and cloth doorcards (have used for 20 years).

For dash top and other hard plastics including door trim and seatbacks I've recently switched to Farecia G3 professional super dressing. Works really well in the A2.

For exterior trim Autoglym have recently changed the formula of their Bumper cleaner from green gunk that worked great on black to a clear solution that is even better.

I just thought what is the best cleaner for the interior one of our new a2s it has the light brown/ beige interior & leather some of the plastics are grubby not sure what to use and what would be good to put on it after it’s clean to maybe help stop grime sticking ...because I’ve always had dark interiors in all my vehicles it’s not been much of an issue ...all suggestions gratefully revieved ..
When I look up theses cleaners so many so wanted honest what’s best ? and do you put some coat on afterwards so muck does not stick ..
I find G101 is brilliant on hard plastics and stain removal, it can be used neat on tougher stains then watered down for general use

Has anyone tried a steam cleaner on their interior? It works wonders on kitchens and bathrooms but will it be too harsh for a car interior???

I used the carpet shampoo machine you can rent from Tescos or Morrisons - rug doctor or something like that? the seats were horrible but came out as new...

I’ve got my Aquarius pro valet, never failed to get a stain out in the 9 years I’ve owned it

What product people recommend for the headlining, especially the light coloured ones, and how it is applied?

I find g101 with a good stiff brush works well on light material
Many thanks. I guess it will drip down while cleaning. Any advise other than put lots of old sheets across everything? Does it stain if gets onto plastic like the facia and door trim?

How about removing the headlining before you clean it?
Is that easy Muska? and more important is getting back properly easy?

I've just looked up g101 on Amazon [Kryptonite AZ G101 Super Clean Professional Strength Multi Purpose Cleaner - 5L] and it says useful for "cleaning of car undercarriages and cleaning engine bays. " Sounds strong stuff!

Alan, it is strong stuff when undiluted but to a degree that is what you want if you’ve got tough stains. You can dilute it as much as you require but it is a multi purpose cleaner so is good for de-greasing body body/wheels/engine bays etc also.

I’ve used it for years and not much comes close pound per punch.
