That's brought some memories back. The year I went ('89) I think Universal was just being built :( Be sure to post a photo or two when you return... Have a great time (lucky sod).

For me the best ride had to be Hollywood Horror Hotel at MGM.

Have you ever been to The olde Town? its not far from disney and is well worth going to one night, at night is when most stuff happens.

The place I liked best (although it is definitely my cup of tea) was the Kennedy Space Center. Not a ride, but as someone into sci-fi and stuff I enjoyed it immensely.

What a brilliant holiday!:D

First 2 days it rained torrentially, then it turned into the hottest May in years. Temperatures were well into the 90's and on several occasions, when we got back to the car, it showed a temperature of 107.
We did the 4 disney parks, the 2 universal parks, sea-world, blizzard beach and wet'n'wild. Plus various other things like a helicopter ride
and an airboat excursion to see gators in the wild.

Disney is just in a league of it's own for money no object attention to detail. The evening shows at Epcot and Disney MGM were superb. Favorite rides at Disney include Tower of Terror (lostcount of the number of times we did this), Aerosmith Rock'n'rollercoaster (0-60 in 2.4 seconds & 4g turns)[33]& Test Track.

Universal faves were the Hulk, Spiderman (best 3d ride/show of all parks)and the one which shoots you straight up in the air - similar to the Playstation at Blackpool. Also, Terminator 3d, Back to the Future, Twister, Duelling Dragons etc were all v.good.

Sea world was just fantastic as it was my first time of seeing dolphins, killer whales etc in the flesh. Great shows and a great coaster too. Kraken - on a par with the Hulk for twists, turns and upside-downey bits.[8D]

As it wasn't the busy season yet, we hardly queued for any rides.:D:D

We stayed in Kissimmee so went past Old Town every day. On Fridays, they have a modern car cruise there with all the Fast'n'Furious style cars - some very tasty and some you wouldn't touch with a barge pole. (who'd have thought you could do that to a Daewoo Nubira [21]).
On Saturday, it's the turn of the old cars.[13]. Mustangs, Corvettes, Plymouths, Caddys, Chevy's, Dodge's. You name it, it was there. Wheelie bars and Micky Thompson rubber was also a common site on these cars. Strangely, 2 old style Mini Coopers were there as well and these were grabbing just as much attention as a '71 Mach1 Mustang or a '67 'Vette.

As this is a car forum, I'll add a bit about the car we had. A brand new Chrysler Sebring Convertible. On the plus side it had a soft top and a 2.7 V6. On the downside, someone thought it would be funny to replace the suspension with blamanche, that V6 engine powered the front wheels, the auto box seemed to take an eternity to kick down a cog or 2 and the interior materials were of the most dire quality. Basically, I wouldn't buy one!
