Best rim protection

just wondering waht people feel is a good tyre with a very good rim protector.

Avon zz are mentioned in previous posts

on my 16" tdi se alloys:
I have pirellis which are inadquate at rim protection
i have one conti sport contact which appears good for the rim protection department but which is eye wateringly expensive


What do you have and do you rate them?

205 x 45 x 16 Dunlop SP9000 ZR... you'll never kerb your alloys with these puppies.


under normal driving conditions they are very good tyres, I get around 50,000 miles from a set, and 5 years on, no kerb-age.

national tyres price matched £80 each for me, including everything... you even get tesco points.>!

I can also recommend Dunlop SP's for kerb protection, I think mine were 195/50/16. I have now got Pirelli P Zero's which are useless in the protection stakes. HTH
