Best way to remove climate control buttons

Hi Tom I was in a rush at the time and now I wish I would of HAVE waited and took the unit out and done it your way as it would of HAVE saved the teeth marks down the side of the fascia :)

Patience is key. If a job is worth doing, then it's worth doing properly.

As someone who has been offering freelance services for a long time, my advice would be not to advertise too soon. Whilst it may seem important to 'get the word out there' as soon as possible, it's more important to gain proper experience of the job by doing it multiple times, learning what you can, spotting variations and improving your techniques. Only once you've got it nailed should you let the broader public know what you can do.

I still remember the first ever cruise control retrofit that I did on an A2. Of course I had done my research, and I was delighted when everything went smoothly and worked as it should, but I didn't post an advert on the forum until I'd done a cruise control retrofit on every variant of A2. Are there any differences between early and late A2s? Is the software process more complex on the petrol models than the diesel models? Have the first installations developed any faults in the meantime? Not going through this process is a recipe for ending up with egg on your face.

Your enthusiasm for the A2 is commendable. It's excellent that someone who's not yet old enough to drive on public roads has taken a shine to a car that was released 20 years ago.

Cheers,

Tom
