I think I’m gonna try some, I’ve filled the tank with super unleaded, see what happens with that then get some bg44k and see if I can shift some carbon to help with poor idle and dropping a cyl after 30 sec idling or so..thanks for your guidanceGoing by this it will be ok...
BG44K and BG244 are suitable for car, motorcycle, commercial, agricultural and marine engines. They will not harm the turbo charger or diesel particulate filter. BG 44K can be used in diesel or petrol engines.
Your issue of dropping a cyclinder after 30 seconds will not be fuel related, it will be ignition related, the ECU counts the number of mis fires and after a set number cuts fuel to that injector so the CAT is not damaged,I think I’m gonna try some, I’ve filled the tank with super unleaded, see what happens with that then get some bg44k and see if I can shift some carbon to help with poor idle and dropping a cyl after 30 sec idling or so..thanks for your guidance

First check what scan kit they have. Many generic scanners don't support the VW specific codes, just the universal (and very limited) codes the OBD standard mandates. It’s going for mot in 3weeks I’ll get them to do a scan for any issues
Ok,he is an Audi specialist so we’ll see what he comes up with.First check what scan kit they have. Many generic scanners don't support the VW specific codes, just the universal (and very limited) codes the OBD standard mandates.
The car simply sends a set of characters to the scanner, the scanner will attempt to match those characters to a look up table (a list of possible descriptions) and display that to the user. It can only give you helpful data, if it supports, in it's table, all VW specific fault descriptions. Many generic scanners do not.
Mac.
