Bigger engine into an AUA A2

Yes I have a full lupo gti engine and 6 speed gearbox and it’s going into an Imola yellow 1.6fsi the engine is slightly tuned to 135bhp and but the 6 speed is very close ratio. Should be very fun

Was chatting to guy in Germany who can repin the engine loom for the Lupo GTI engine.
What are the chances of mating a DSG gearbox to the Lupo GTI engine?

Please keep me updated with how you get on. Whilst I love the idea of a 2.0 16v Audi a2, it's simply the power that I'm after and less weight would be much better

I was thinking about a build thread but I am super busy at the moment, the gearbox in my TDi 90 (MYP) ate itself and it’s been taking a lot of time.

I will however try my best to do a rough how to, but it maybe hard to do.

Wouldn't have to be a blow by blow account. It would be going to a very experienced mechanic. Just the basics of what needs changing, fabricating and loom changes.

Should have his details somewhere. He offered to repin the FSI engine loom if I sent it to him!
Maybe when you have time Steve and I could pay a visit to chew things over?

The mounts look to bolt straight over, the loom changes are where we thing the real work is due to the ECU location on the lupo.

Why would a dsg be a problem?
They cope with far more torque behing the diesels.

That would work great. The Jaipur is likely to be going in for a full respray at the end of May while we are on the Scottish tour so wouldn't be happening until.the end of the year when the bank balance recovers.

It’s going to be the one on the left, it has a 1.6fsi with a blown head gasket. I rescued it from a breaker
