Blaupunkt DAB retrofit replacing concert 2

Just a quick info regarding DAB antenna. I have one in my other car and I have fittted a few in other cars. Aftermarket antennas do not work good. Except if you have a really good reception the DAB will constantly cut out, which is very annoying. The best route was to use factory fitted antennas and use the DAB “adapter”.

Is that an adaptor which splits the one coax into two, one DAB the other FM/AM?

No, I do not have experience with the splitters.
Newer cars (for example VW Golf 7.5) have two receivers in the rear trunk. One is FM/AM, the other one is FM OR FM/DAB. You just replace the later one with FM/DAB and route additional cable to the radio. So, it uses the factory fitted antenna and it works perfect and is by OEM standars.
Part nr. for this part is: 510035577b
You can see on this photo, the lower one has only one cable, the upper one has two.

All other aftermarket options were not working ok and were constantly cutting out. Though, as I said it depends on the quality of the DAB signal.

Most UK cars have four antennas, combined in the "Diversity Unit, (which routes the best signal to the radio), so your solution is not available.
On the Mk1 TT Forum there have been positive feedback from the splitter solution.

Also, check with a multimeter, at the Diversity end of the coax from the radio, radio on, plug out of the Diversity, should measure 12 volts between centre pin (+) and outer (-). That’s the power from the radio to the Diversity. Take care not to short the inner and outer. But of insulating tape on the pos meter lead, so just the tip is bare.

Bit of a resurrection, but in case someone reads this in the future, I now know that the Diversity unit has it's own dedicated 12V supply, (on a 3 pin connector), and when the Concert II is coded for Diversity, there is no 12V via the coax. The Diversity also powers the four antenna amps in the tailgate three FM, and one FM & AM.
