Boot door trim.

Do you mean the trim that has the closing grip moulded into it?
If so its a b****r to put back. Make sure its seated properly around the boot latch. It also requires quite a heafty smack to locate the metal spring lug things. I lubricated the holes with a silcone spray first and went round banging each one back into place. I also enlisted the help of an assistant to help line it up.

Thanks Jonothan. Yes its the part with the close hole/grip point. The spingy things don't seem to locate properly and yes they need a hefty bang to push home. Perhaps some sealant would work?

There's no need for sealant or lubricants - as long as the clips are aligned, then a good sharp blow will re-seat them.

Persevere with it, you'll get there eventually.
