I'm trying to follow the download on fitting a CD changer and I'm having trouble with stripping out the trim
Does Anyone know how to remove the following bits of trim in the boot area?

1. False floor Supports- plastic covers with 2 tie down points
2. Lower floor tie down D rings( for cargo nets)plastic covers chrome rings

1, The covers need to be prised off (large flat bladed screwdriver works well) then you will find a metal support underneath shouldn't need to remove this bit.

2, Lift the D ring then lift and slide the plastic plate away from the open end (large flat bladed screwdriver works well)

3, Yes I know there isn't a part 3, but a note, the top clip holding the trim panel inplace is difficult to remove (its the one behind the trim panel buy the seat release - near the bit where the seatbelt goes through the panel).

4, I know.... Fitting the CD changer bracket to the body panel is very strange (from memory I had to buy longer screws as the ones supplied wouldn't bite)

Hope all goes well.

It took me about 6 hours over two nights didn't have a clue what I was doing but was not going to pay £500 for Audi to fit it... would be intresting to know if the guide helped to reduce that time.

Hi Lee
Thanks that's very helpful, I always worry abot damaging trim which can end up costing more than the install ( but not in Audi's case!)
I now have the changer and bracket with the bolts used to fit to A2 unfortunately I also have a grey trim which is no use with a balck interior so it's of to Audi parts.

Yes another wonderful ebay purchase, I thought there were only two interior colours- beige and dark grey, didn't count on light grey!
Still I got the changer and ally bracket so not a total loss and I may be able to sell the spare trim!
