Brake discs

Does anyone know what size brake discs would be on a 1.4 tdi se with 16 inch standard alloys? Mine need replaced and wondering if 256mm diameter discs off ebay will do the trick.

Also if anyone has an anti roll bar and bushes for sale, I may be interested.

All A2s apart from the 1.2TDi use 256mm brake discs up front, so the ones you've seen will most likely work.

I've used Mintex Brake Box kits before now (one seller on Ebay is just around the corner from me!) and for the price, they are superb.

i can recommend the £41 front discs and pads on ebay, fitted perfectly, and 2 months on working superbly:D
 
Just bought the mintex pads and discs for £45 plus postage on ebay. I think seller is from Manchester so probably same one. Big saving on the price quoted by the garage! I got quoted about £100 for discs and pads less labour!
 
You won't be disappointed, the Mintex setup is really good (I fitted the full set a few weeks ago). :)
 
The Brembo discs offered by GSF are also very good. I have them all round coupled with EBC Green Pads.

I am going to have to replace my discs and pads Front and Back soon .... can The springfield be so good as to post the sellers details? Thanks

Incidentally, does anyone agree that the pads on the rear seem rather small relative to the disc? There is a good 3mm of lip on mine (that is the radial dimension of the lipping, i should say, not the depth of wear) - I would have thought a larger pad size which made beter use of the available disc area would have been a better.

They're just round the corner from me and I can testify to their quality - I have a set of Mintex on the rear. Very good and very cheap.
