That looks like all the ones (failed or otherwise) that I've had out of my A2's. I suspect that's what your £33 will get you from Audi. I've not long put a Febi one in one of mine at about a third of that price. Whereas the popular opinion was that they have a long travel before the brake lights come on, this one seems to be as sensitive as the OEM original.

I had started looking in between before Crewe came back to me and I'll be honest £33 sounded a lot.

Its MOT time Friday and I had a go at stripping it to see inside to do a temp repair?.

Found one of the bottom plate contacts black and showing a small pitted arc spot, so cleaned it all up and put back together. Its working spot on now but suspect its worn and will probably look at an OEM type equivalent.

Ironically I have a new neighbor who works at TPS now and he was looking at my old LT and has said if I need anything or part numbers just ask, so I might ask him for a price too.
