Cabin heater

Hi,
have a a2 from 02.
Im having a non functional diesel heater in the engine bay. That’s not the reason why I’m posting though.
My cabin fan had started to whine, and In my search finding the right part I found 2 results, a fan with a heater element and one fan without.

could I buy the fan with the heater element and make It produce heat in the cabin? How about the wiring?
Any pointers.?

It's quite possible that as a Webasto-fitted car that there won't be the necessary uprated alternator and wiring to feed the electrical auxiliary heater - but I am open to correction by someone who knows more than I do.

Both aux heaters are controlled by the a/c or rotary dials as such one or other. Danish cars would already have a higher output alternator as standard.

As for the cabin fan, you could remove it from the dash, clean and lubricate the bearings, test it and refit it to the car, or just replace it.
Have you had the car scanned with VCDS to see it that picks out the Webasto fault?
