Cam belt in Cumbria

I've only just got my A2 (Monday) and because there's no mention of a cam belt change in its history (46k miles, 6 years old) I figure it's a wise move to get it done. Especially since it's ace and I want to keep it so!

I live in Cumbria and my local Audi dealer is Hadwins. They've quoted £340 (inc VAT) which isn't cheap, but not too bad. However, if I could get it done for less by someone who knows what they're doing, then I obviously would!

I've looked through the whole forum (pretty much) and can't find any mention of a decent Audi independent up here. Do any of you know of one in the Kendal area? When I say 'know of one' I mean have good first-hand experience :)
 
I got mine done by a non dealer garage a couple of months ago. Audi sell the kit for about £100 and cost me altogether just less than £180.
 
Cumbria cambelt

I need a cambelt on my 1.6 fsi and i am taking it Kendal Vw Centre, Shap Rd Industrial Estate, 01539 722906. I spoke to them last week and they quoted me £220-£230, and having discussed it with them, they have obviously fit many of these before. I used them to put a cambelt on my VW Transporter last year and couldn't fault their price or service.
 
Ask them how much just to fit the cam belt and see how much you can get the belt, and compare the price don't forgey you water pump

Omg £340?????

I just got quoted £580!!!! By Audi in Bath! £340 is an absolute bargain!!!! i will definately be shopping around!
