Cambelt Change.

Hi All,

Got my A2 about a month ago now, 2003 model @ 67K miles (1.4 sport petrol).

Went to Stoke Audi today to book it in for cambelt change @ fixed price of £275.

They say they offer the full belt change inc water pump for £375. I opted for the £275 service, but am wondering if I should cough up the extra £100.

Cant seem to find any information on this enhanced cambelt service, but am sure I am in the right place for advice.

Cheers

Kev

Yes you should stump up the extra £100 - it's false economy not to have the water pump and coolant canged at the same time.

Cheers,

Mike

I sort of knew you were going to say that Mike as soon as I had posted.

Its just that all the prices on the net said £275 for cambelt service, with no mention of the enhanced version..

I will pop it through the enhanced version, and tell the Mrs that "upon inspection" is was highly advised to do the extra bits.

But will also ask Stoke Audi (whom I know will read this ) to release one half of the back seat which fails to pull down, as part of the deal :). The plastic lever will pull up (with a struggle), but does not disengage the metal rod.

Thanks Mike.

Regards

Kev
