Can anyone recommend a garage in London?

Our first A2 - Y reg - ‘ours’ from new but now with son in Islington and is needing some fettling.

Cam belt / service etc due as well as a few niggling things.

Can anyone recommend a trusted, not too ‘London’ priced outfit, who’s work will be fine? - he is reluctant to trail back up to Yorkshire unless really necessary!

Sadly we are enthusiasts, not DIY competent, so not entirely typical of A2oc but keen to keep our first fine tdi with Opensky going for a good few years yet! Our ‘new’ A2 goes to WOM who are great but not v handy for the big smoke!!

As always I have great faith in the wisdom and advice found here.....

Hello from west London. I regularly service mine at Car Care Kensington, in Notting Hill. Bunch of friendly and competent guys, never let me down. Prices are fair and honest. You might find cheaper places but you often get what you pay for...
Ps: I am not associated in any way with the garage, just sharing my positive experience with them.

Hi Chris,

I use an independent place on all of my A2 work, they are VERY familiar with the A2 and several members on here have found him to be honest and reasonably priced (£50 per hour labour I believe) He has tackled everything on my cars including swapping a sunroof, converting my rear axle to one with disk brakes and at least 5 or so cambelts over the years and over the A2s I have owned.

He is based in Sunbury which is near Kempton Park and junction 1 of the M3. He often has a loan car while yours is being done.

Really helpful as always from A2oc

My wife has resisted throwing her hat in the ring for Steve’s car - her ‘dirty’ diesel just drives so well she isn’t sure about jumping to potential challenges of FSI - though I doubt if there a better one out there or anyone better to buy from!

Having fun with the latest “tool”.

385 bhp from a 4 cylinder 2ltr engine is great fun. I do love my new job at Mercedes Benz World. Worth a visit if anyone is in the area. Petrol-heads paradise.
