HI Chris,

Thank you so much for posting the link, I will add it to the "How To" links section.

Windscreen Cleaners

Over the years I've used many different products to clean the windscreen but none have been really successful at removing traffic film. This is especially obvious on areas of the screen where the wipers don't touch.
Some products make the screen look amazingly clean and 'polished' but either cause smearing once the wipers are used or revert back to looking like the screen has never been touched after a day or two.
I've also tried the newspaper trick, methalated spirit, clay bar and the 'intensive' glass polishes like Rainex pre treatment. (I don't like glass 'coating' products)

Can anyone recommend a process or products which actually work. I'm not looking for a miracle cure and would be happy spending time to do a proper job.

Cheers Spike

I used to have my own Valeting/Detailing business and tried lots of different products to find the best one.

The best I found for cleaning glass is Meguiars Glass Cleaner concentrate. It's a 5l container which you dilute with water into a spray bottle. Spray the diluted mixture onto a micro fibre cloth, wipe onto the glass, wait for it to dry and wipe off with a clean micro fibre cloth.

I haven't done any detailing for 5+ years now, so there may now be better products on the market?

White Vinegar works a treat and is as cheap as chips. (cheaper actually :D )
