Car pulling to the LEFT

Hi,

I've just returned from having laser 4 wheel alignment done on my 2002 1.4 se. It STILL pulls badly to the left.

To be fair, the tracking was out quite a bit. The wheels have been balanced and pressures correctly inflated.

This is driving me crazy; it pulls at even low speeds (<30mph) and I am worrie dthat something more sinister and costly may be wrong.

ANY help/advice/past experiences with this problem will be kindly appreciated.

The pulling to the left is a common trait of the right hand drive A2, as they were only ever initially intended as left hand drive cars, for the domestic market.

Firstly, check for wear on the inner edges of the tyres and replace as needed - it isn;t unheard of for the outside edge to be fully legal and the inside bald!

Next thing to do, if you don't have directional tyres, is to swap the nearside to the offside and vice versa.

The car will always pull a bit, unless set up so that the geometry is right hand biased, but if that is the case, extreme tyre wear will occur.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks Mike,

I'm going to take it back as the guy said himself the next thing to try would be to swao the wheeld around. I'm hoping they aren't driectional tyres, otherwise I'm stuck?

There is unueven tyres wear on the inner side of the front tyres, yes.

Dropped an email to Audi CS, for what it's worth - not expecting much tbh.
