Catalytic converter for tdi

Hi everyone,

Quick question does the catalytic converter for AMF tdi have a code stamped on it? I cannot find it on mine.

Code as in part number? No, as it's one integral part with the full exhaust from Audi.

However, if they start to go/rattle, you can replace with an aftermarket - I've done just this after a couple of overly officious testers complained about Tank's Pipewerx exhaust with the decat. I also have the original ATL cat, which I could have popped back in, but I had Pipewerx fit a sport cat to maintain the pipe diameter and save having a non-shiny stainless part in the pipe.
 
I’m assuming so yes just tidying up my shed and stumbled across cat off my blue tdi so I thought I’d give my local buyer a call but he’s asking for a code…? There is physically no code printed on just thought I’d ask the community in case I’m missing the obvious.

If it’s genuine it will have a number starting with E. This isn’t the part number, it’s a stamp showing conformity and mineral content.
