Where can Good Quality Catalytic Converters be obtained ? Aftermarket ones we have had fitted only ever last until just after their Warranty Expires. There`s always a problem with Emissions at MOT time for our 1.4 Petrol. Had a good used Genuine Audi Manifold Cat fitted a couple of years ago. That improved things. Have not been able to find a good used Genuine Audi main Cat. There are a lot of different Aftermarket makes available on AutoDoc but are they any good ?

Found an ebay Seller with many different makes of Aftermarket Catalytic Convertors listed for the 2003 A2 1.4 Petrol. The " BM " Branded one has a 5 Year Warranty. This Seller says they can not identify the Correct Cat without the Part Number off the Original Audi Part on the A2. That Original was replaced many Years ago, so I can not provide the Audi Part Number. Does anyone have access to identify the Part Number please ?

Parts for 1.4i exhaust system from manifold down may be found in these two diagrams. Mouse over the magnifying glass adjacent to the blanked-out link and the part number (link) appears in screen bottom left, otherwise click it and the part number is encoded in the URL for the following page.

My experience of the BM brand is not so good. A DPF for a Citroen diesel had so bad fit it couldnt be used. Sent it back and got a refund. Then last year I bought a cat for a Skoda Fabia 1.2. Terrible fit, had to cut off and reward the mounting flange.
