Hi,

Firstly i would like to say your contributions to this forum is amazing!! Wish i had the knowledge like yourselves to pass onto people. Its the first time i have come to a stop and confused, every othertime i conquered problems with this forum.

I love to try fixing things myself before i give or ask anyone, as i get a buzz out of it and self satisfaction. I dont actually own a A2, however i brought my mom one for her birthday and my sister loved it that much i was out hunting one for her too. When problems occur im lucky enuff to troubleshoot between both cars. Both same models and engine sizes to my advantage.

The problem:

My sisters car is fine, however my mothers cars playing up: dead battery, alarm going off, hazards flashing, handbrake warning light, key fob absolutely doing nothing!! I swapped the CCUs around in the cars and with my sisters module in my moms car the central locking was fine with my sisters car key fob. Same symptoms transfered from my moms car to my sisters after the swap. Could this be the key fob or CCU at fault???? Im slightly confused.
Sisters car original CCU no is 8Z0 959 433 Q and key fob no is 8Z0 837 231/ 355029
Moms car original CCU no is 8Z0 959 433 F and key fob no is 8Z0 837 231/ 355029

Also does the 8Z0 959 433 be compatable with the 8E0 959 433 module? As for the letters on the end, do they matter? Eg. mines an F, what if it was a AF? The reason i ask this is because the units look the same. My friend owns a wv/audi/seat breakers so i might get one off him but he hasnt had a audi a2 ever.

Thanks and sorry for essay!

For members reading this thread, the way the OP starts could be confusing. This is because the poster has merely copied and pasted a PM to me. This has now been answered, but please feel free to add your thoughts to this thread.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi mate, the CCU i have is for a TDI 2002 with one key as far as i know it does work, the other one is from a 1.4 Petrol and that has a key also but that came off the wifes car as that was acting up so we changed it.

Hi.
I have a cccu..
Part number 8z0959433q...
I'm pretty sure it's broken as it sounds like a tractor!
I had to disconnect it as it won't stop clicking.
Would you be able to repair or replace for me?
I hear you are the man to ask ?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Tom, I have replied to your PM

Hello I believe that I bought this model earlier in the year from A8 parts but with no key.
My reason for buying it was that when you take the smaller power cable off my mulitmeter went to zero, So i thought that i had a drain.
Any way mine is the AF on the car as its a 04 plate, I never tried the second hand unit.
If its of interest please let me know.

Regards
David

Will the one David has be any use to me?
Cheers.
Dwayne.
Hi David and Dwayne,

Yes, the CCCU that David has will be of use to you, Dwayne. However, in order to provide a plug-n-play service, where Dwayne won't need access to VCDS software, the CCCU will have to pass through my hands first such that it (and a set of keys) can be pre-programmed.
Let's start a 3-way private conversation. :)

Cheers,

Tom
