central locking - not locking drivers door

Have to lock the driver's door with the key
The remote will unlock ok
Could this be a low battery on the key? It's happened once before and did right itself after a while.

Any ideas? Thanks

Possibly the battery, possibly the central convenience control unit starting to go u/s - which it is known for unfortunately.
