Changing Gearknob Centre piece

Does the gearknob centre piece just pop out?

the chrome trim around mine isnt very tidy and wanted to get anew one.

Equally.. can you swap the whole knob? the S-line version with the dimpled leather looks lush!!
 
hi the S-Line knob looks nice . I´ve got it from vagparts. you have to destroy the nylon thing underneeth but a new one is in the set : S-line knob. and he also sells leather gaiter. Cold for the hand in winter but it´s worth it:)
