Changing handbrake lever knob

Not a difficult job.
Remove the handbrake lever cover pulling toward the front of the car. You should insert a thin blade (I use an old credit card) between the cover and aluminium "ring" and gently put upward pressure to release a small spring tab whilst pulling.
When this is off, you will see a small oblong hole on either side of the handbrake lever about 2 - 3mm from the release knob. Insert a small blade screwdriver to release the plastic barb ( both sides) and pull the knob out the front of the lever.
The new one just slides in and clips into place.

I've just bought one from Stoke Audi for £16.98 including postage (but might be worth trying Pete Boustred [[email protected]] who's very cheap..)

Appreciate this is a bit of an older thread but re: this silver button is it an easy swap, any info would be great, as my button is looking a bit scratched from previous owners with wearing rings I guess!
Cheers Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Same as my recent post on the other thread. You have to remove the handbrake grip to fit the new Alu button.

I did this on my first A2.
