Thanks for that, i might sound stupid now,but just wondered what the difference between a SE and a TDi is?
Ok, it's not a stupid question, if you're new to the Audi way of naming cars.
To start off, you have the engine type, either petrol or diesel. Petrol cars either have no letters associated with them or are called FSI or TFSI, if they have a turbo fitted (FSI by the way is fully stratified injection - a fancy name for the way the engine works).
Diesel cars are always referred to as TDi, for turbo diesel injection.
Now then, that is the base car covered. Next you move to trim specific:
There is always a basic trim, with no letters, then you get the SE trim, then the Sport trim, then the S-line trim.
Basically, SE adds executive touches, bits of leather and wood or aluminium.
Sport tends to add bigger wheels and suspension along with sport seats.
S-line normally adds a bodykit to the Sport spec, as well as further touches.
The A2 was only ever available in basic, SE and Sport packages, with the last, run-out models called the Special Edition.
The S-line was available, but only in Europe.
Cheers,
Mike
