Cleaning 1.6 FSI Throttle Body

This is a good question! I would like to know as well, so I thought I would bump this tread. So... anyone...?

Hi on the fsi it is on top of the plenum chamber-just follow the large rubber hose from the left side of the engine- the first component is the air flow meter(caution not to put any thing down this as you will damage it)this can be un plugged and removed.the next part is the throttle body itself-it has an electrical connection to it as it is "fly by wire" i would clean it with out un plugging it as i cant remember if it needs re setting in vag com on reconnection.
why do you suspect it needs cleaning? i know it is commonly known that petrol poor running can be down to dirty throttle body but my one has always been spotless.
cheers mike
