Climate Control Issue

Good morning everyone.

I have been quite quiet of late as I was away getting married and I suppose in any case, I only ever rear my head when I want some good advice or else I have seen another A2!

Anyway, I am having issues (not quite troubles) with my climate control.

When I have it on Auto, the fan is not blowing. I can set it to 18 degrees or 28 and regardless of the temperature in the car, the fan speed is at one bar. The only setting on auto which has more than one bar is at Lo.

Has anyone come upon this in the past?

I can take it off Auto and alter the temperature and turn up the fan myself so it is not such a serious issue. But I would like it to work.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like it might be a logic problem in the control panel - the easiest way to check would be to swap it out with another panel from another, known to be working A2.

The panels can be had for a reasonable price now - have a look at the usual culprits.

As you can manually control fan speed, then the fan itself is unlikely to be faulty. It could be a wire that has broken, or as I said before, a logic problem (i.e.something inside one of the microchips).

A diagnostic scan would be of help to resolve this issue.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers,

Mike

PS: Congrats on the marriage.
