Clutch Issue 1.4tdi 75 unusual

Great description of the issue Paul.
The picture above posted by Vic, for bleeding, is that the master cylinder or slave cylinder.
From what you said, best to replace the slave cylinder first, bleed the system & if the problem comes back, then replace the master cylinder
which you have kindly offered to sell in your earlier tread.
Thank you & everyone for your advice.
Regards,
Ami

That is the slave cylinder which is what normally fails. This is the exact part that I offered you and easy to change out
When bleeding ensure to keep the master cylinder reservoir full as clutch is the highest take off and as such can easily introduce air into the system when you are trying to remove all air

For the slave cylinder, it looks like there are two different types depending on the build code.

OEM part number 8Z0721261 (for build code PR-T1Q) and OEM part number 8Z0721261A (for build code PR-T0U or PR-T60)

TRW PJD266 matches OEM part number 8Z0721261

TRW PJD220 matches OEM part number 8Z0721261A

In Vic's photo above, you can see that he has the 8Z0721261A version.

You were spot on, its 8ZO721261A

I'd advise replacing both with OEM Parts at the same time. Please don't ask me how I learned this... ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
