Will a concert radio work in a pre canbus Y reg A2.
Only reason I ask is I let the guy who bought the A2 and after putting the code in it did work but then didn't then did, well, you know what I mean.
I'm going to try it in my white 04 plate A2 and see if it does the same.

As I understand it, yes and no. Yes the radio/cd wil work but no it will not be integrated fully. Nothing will illuminate at night with the lights, info will not appear on dash with dis and I don't know about turning off with ignition. It can integrated fully by the addition of wiring to enable Canbus but exactly how is beyond me.

The Concert 1 (tape deck) will work perfectly in a pre-2002 A2.
The Concert 2 (CD player) can work perfectly in a pre-2002 A2, but wiring and connection changes are needed first.

This is an upgrade that I do quite regularly for owners of early A2s.

Ah, that kinda explains it then, the radio must be the concert 2 radio / cd player that was in my written off 05 plate so will need connection changes, I will tell him.
