Coolant pipe removal. 1.4tdi AMF engine

Has anyone removed a coolant pipe before?
Does it just pull out & a technique to it or is it held in with a clip?
Mine won’t come out? The pic is from my donor car but need to use the coolant pipe.
thanks

Not sure how much help this is - a diagram of the coolant system - might show hidden clips or bolts? I’m about to renew a lot of my coolant system, but there will be members who have actually done this already and can help with better information. https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+a2/a2/2003-248/1/121-121039/#11
Thanks mate. I’ve seen this and doesn’t show any clips. Can’t find anything anywhere if it pulls out or it’s non removable.

Hi Matt ... it's a press fit between the thermostat housing and the water pump with an unrelated cable clipped to the side by a u shaped bracket. Just an 'O' ring on either end to make the seal. There is a U shaped clip that pushes in at the thermostat housing end.

Can't get my bearing from your picture. Zoom out a bit more to see more of the engine and highlight the pipe in question.
it’s the coolant pipe that goes across the front of the engine. Below the glow plug

Thanks mate. I can’t see any clips in the thermostat housing. Is it inside the housing or outside it where the pipe goes into the housing?

Two screws and pull it out?

Edit: picture. I did this job some time ago and it was a job to get it out.

I’ll pull it harder ?

You have access to the inside and don't need the engine. Get some heat on it and break the bond between the pipe and the block. Then paint the pipe before fitting to your keeper.

Done it. Had to tie some rope to the pipe and then used a lever on the rope to force it out. What an awful job!
thanks for the advice.
Well done, I think I drifted mine out with a lump of wood and a big hammer. I had a new one so it didn't matter if it the old one got bent.
