Cracked windscreen

Nice semi-circle crack in my windscreen on the way to work this morning. Having been stunned by the cost of two tyres (£250!) am fearful of another heavy bill.

Any idea what I should be paying?

Check your insurance as they often have some form of cover - mine was done for £60 with no loss of no-claims. If it's repairable, it'll most likely be free.

Otherwise, bank on little change from £400.

my gawd, don't buy those tyres i'm about to sell my four 16 inch se alloys with nearly new 185 top quality tyres for about that price all in.

I was quoted over £600 for a new screen

....hope the insurance covers it for you!!!

If I'd gone to my insurer approved centre it would have been free, but I didn't and had to pay £50.
This is under fiully comp.
