Hi Paul,
I'll wait a couple of days to see if payment comes through.
If it doesn't, I'll send my bank details for a bacs transfer if that's ok or I can send you an invoice.

Cheers
Dave John.

There is an option for me to cancel so happy if you want to send an invoice

Ok, please cancel your PayPal payment and let me have your email address and I'll send you an invoice.

John @dgj1959 Not trying to interfere, but are both your Paypal and bank details verified as this has been a source of problems before.

I’m frustrated with PayPal, I have received monies in the past and made payments with PayPal and I am in no doubt that my account is verified.

I dropped in some odd bits and pieces to Depronman on Monday evening and was delighted to find that he had somehow made time to machine out an EGR delete for me!
Brilliant stuff, thank you Paul!
It’s fitted now thanks to Rob and Marcus at WOM. Every time I see a used EGR I cannot believe the filth they feed the engine. It runs smoother now, a bit more power and more economical too by just over 2mpg on average. Highly recommended!

Im about to send my old working EGR back to paul so hell have another one to machine soon..I can vouch for the quality of work and the slight gain in repsonse and throat noise, at cost of longer heating up time, but I'd rather have the peace of mind a moving part that adds gunk and adds exhaust into combustion is now removed. 135K with recycling has been done, its time to let the car have some fun.

Just to add the slight increase in warm up times is only applicable to the bhc and atl engines the amf is not affected
The reason is the bhc and atl engines have an engine coolant cooled egr pipe where as the amf doesn’t. It is the lack of exhaust gases heating the engine coolant that resulting in a slightly increased warm up time
The actual increase in warm up time depends on driving route as the egr heating effect is only there when the egr is open ie on overrun or tickover

As I live in the Blackdown hills in East Devon, my warm-up times are usually pretty quick, to join any major roads from my house It's straight up a long steep hill in second gear / 2000 RPM all the way, I usually run the engine for half a minute upon cold start just to give the oil a chance to circulate properly before setting off - Therefore I don't feel my disabled EGR has lost me any warm-up time performance.

Your 100% correct because the egr would not have been open at all in the climb up the hill
But if you have someone’s typical drive involves a lot of stop start in traffic where the egr would be open for a significant amount of time then the warmup will be some what longer

Hi Paul

I have two Colour Storms (a red and a blue), and since I've just replaced both windscreens I could do with 2 new wiper arms. Do you have two available, and if so shall I contact you via the paul@ email address that's earlier in this thread? I'm not far from you and would be happy to drive over if that's easier than posting. Many thanks, David

I will have some more available in a few days time. Either contact me here or on the email

Happy for you to collect / drop off the old ones
Saves me boxing up and posting and b****ring about with deposits etc

Paul

Hello
I am new to the forum (just bought my A2 TDI 90), so maybe I am not doing something right.
I don't seem to be able to access the link regarding the drain bolt for TDI fuel filters.
Mine broke and now I have jack rigged it with a screw joining both ends, at least it does not leak.
How can I access the link to buy it the upgraded drain bolt?
Or should I send a private message?
Thank you fellow A2 enthusiasts!

Welcome to the forum :) The link points to a thread in the Market area. This will not be accessible to you until you upgrade your account to have Market access. The Welcome email just sent to you will have all the details on how to do this :)
