Diagnostic advice please

Could anybody help with error code P0023 vag 16407. Bank 2 camshaft B (Exhaust) position actuator malfunction intermittent. This is not listed for a 1.4 petrol.
I have used icarsoft i908 and foxwell readers and

Implies the exhaust cam shaft is incorrectly timed. Check the belt for damage and correctly aligned with the other timing marks.

The fault is on the exhaust cam only and the Hall sensor would give a different error.
